Quadir Warren, 18, of Delaware, was arrested along with three juveniles and charged with theft from parked vehicles.
An adult male and three juveniles were arrested by Brookhaven police during the overnight hours of Dec. 4 and charged with theft from vehicles and related charges. Brookhaven officers Ryan Eastman and James Kelso arrested Quadir Warren, 18, of Delaware, following a foot pursuit and use of a drone.
Warren is currently being held in Delaware County prison with bail set at $100,000.
The names of the juveniles were not released. Brookhaven Police Chief Michael Vice said the suspects allegedly stole a car in Delaware and drove to Brookhaven to search for unlocked vehicles.
Vice said the general area has been victimized with car content thefts over the past few months and the chief reminds people to always lock their car doors.
He said suspects look for money, electronics, cell phones, car chargers and accessories – literally anything they can sell for quick cash.
“This was good, heads-up police work,” Vice said. “If you come into our borough and commit a crime, we do everything in our ability to find you and hold you accountable.”
Brookhaven police were assisted by officers from Aston, Upland, Parkside, and Chester Township.
